New Client Checklist

We have created this handy checklist for new clients to ensure they can provide us with all of the information we require to get started on their project. Please review the list below to make sure you have completed all the necessary steps so we can start your project and finish it in a timely manner.

STEP 1: COMPLETE THE QUESTIONNAIRE
Before starting your website, please complete the questionnaire so we have a clear vision of the type of website you want. To complete the online questionnaire, click here.


STEP 2: READ AND SIGN THE WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT FORM

To ensure that both the client and Debbie Hill Design are clear when it comes to project execution, we require each of our clients to read and sign the website development agreement form. This can be completed online by clicking here.


STEP 3: SEND US YOUR LOGO

We require your logo in a high resolution format. We prefer to work with EPS format, but if you don't have that version available, we are able to work with high res JPEGs. All logos can be emailed to debbie@debbiehilldesign.com.


STEP 4: PREPARE YOUR DOMAIN

If you currently have a domain name registered, we will have to configure it to work properly with your new website. To do this, we will require access to your domain's c-panel. You should have received this documentation from the domain registrar when you signed up. If you no longer have this information, simply contact your registrar and request your c-panel login credentials. Once you have the information, please forward it to us.


If you do not have a domain, you will need to register one. You can do this online through many websites. We like to recommend Aplus.net. The process is quite simple, just visit their website and register right online and if you have any trouble, speak to their live tech support agents who will walk you through the process.


STEP 5: SEND US WEBSITE CONTENT

You are required to send us the content you want placed on each page. Please supply us with a typed word document so we can easily copy and paste. If you have specific images you would like us to use, please be sure to also include those in the word document you provide to us. Note: We offer content development services as well for an additional fee. Please contact us for a quote.


STEP 7: ACTIVATE YOUR HOSTING SUBSCRIPTION

Login to your website using the username and password we provided to you in your information package. Once you're logged in, follow these steps:


  1. Click the control panel in the upper right side of the page
  2. From the control panel menu, choose "My Account".
  3. When the small window appears, choose "change plan".
  4. Choose the "basic website package" (only choose e-commerce when you are getting an e-commerce website)
  5. You will be taken to PayPal where you can process payment.
